PROGRAM LEVEL
The program is designed for staff new to forecasting or those who are interested in Mereology. It satisfies the knowledge in the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) instruction package for meteorologists (BIP-M), and provides students with the knowledge, technical skills and confidence to carry on developing their expertise in the field.
The BIP-M course intended to provide the students with a strong and broad range of knowledge of atmospheric phenomena and processes, together with skills related to the application of this knowledge.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- Exploit modern quantitative, scientific reasoning tools that can be applied to meteorology.
- Pursue effective research and life-long learning in all fields of meteorology.
- Exhibit ethical and scientific conduct under the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and International Civil Aviation Organization conventions (ICAO).
PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Apply knowledge of the principles of meteorology.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate all meteorological services accordance to the ICAO/WMO regulations and standards to meet the needs of variety of audiences.
- Illustrate actual and forecast data correctly and identify the most relevant data for any given situation.
- Produce weather forecast consistent with the guidance and other relevant data.
- Create forecast products to an acceptable standard and in the style required.
- Organize the workload, prioritizing tasks as necessary.
- Plan the Work effectively in teams and sharing knowledge with others.
- Apply ICAO/IWMO programs.
- Connect meteorology with economic sectors.
