PhD in mathematics, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA, 2013 Dr. Abdulla Eid is an associate professor of mathematics since 2024. He earned his doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2013. His research area lies in the intersection between Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory and their applications. In particular, he is interested in algebraic geometry codes, algebraic curves over finite fields, and in finite geometry. He has also several publications in the field of networking and distributed systems. He is a recipient of the International Fulbright in Science and Technology funded by the Department of States. Before joining the University of Bahrain, he has taught at Qatar University and Bahrain teachers' college. He has served as a reviewer for many international conference and journals including the IEEE transaction in information theory, AMS and Math.
