Biography


Dr. Humood Naser is an academic and researcher with over two decades of experience in environmental biology. His research bridges applied ecology, environmental policy, and sustainability science, with a regional emphasis on the Arabian Gulf. Research areas combine field-based assessment, pollution monitoring and policy management. Dr. Naser is currently an Associate Professor of Environmental Biology at the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Bahrain.

He held the role of Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office at the College of Science (2017-2021). Dr. Naser has authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and several books, and book chapters. He also contributed to several national and international environmental assessments and strategies.

Achievements


  • Academic Ph.D. Recognition Award, Ministry of Education, Bahrain (2009).
  • Ibn Albytar Prize for Biology, University of Bahrain (1998).
