Ph.D. in Mathematics, Western University (UWO), Canada, 2015 Dr. Mayada Shahada holds a Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics from Western University, Canada. Her research interests lie in Combinatorial Polynomial Identity Theory and Combinatorial Commutative Algebra. She is very interested in producing combinatorial methods to “count” algebraic invariants without doing complicated algebraic calculations using different combinatorial, topological, and homological tools. Dr. Shahada has several publications in top-rated scientific journals. Before joining UOB, Dr. Shahada held many positions in different universities and academic institutions in Canada and Bahrain. Dr. Shahada is very active in mathematics outreach; she was the Director of the Nova Scotia Math Circles Outreach Program at Dalhousie University and currently a member of the Canadian Mathematical Gray Jay Competition committee.
