PhD in Mathematics, University of Heidelberg, Germany, 2019 Dr Oliver Thomas works in the fields of algebraic number theory and arithmetic geometry with a special focus on non-commutative Iwasawa theory. He completed his PhD under supervision of Otmar Venjakob in Heidelberg, Germany in 2019. He is interested in classical arithmetic questions of asymptotic growth in analytic Lie extensions, but also in the cohomology of said analytic groups in the context of p-adic Hodge theory. In Heidelberg University, he taught many graduate and undergraduate courses on a wide range of topics. He joined the department of mathematics at University of Bahrain as Assistant Professor in 2021.
