Prof. Kamel has completed his PhD degree from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt with a focus on the fabrication and characterization of electrochemical sensors for environmental, biomedical and pharmaceutical analysis. After completing PhD, he worked as a Postdoc Fellow at the REQUIMTE, Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, Porto, Portugal. His current focus of research is the development of rational design of Robust and reliable chemical sensors for Environmental and biomedical analysis. He also deals in the design and development of man-tailored mimc polymers as a novel stationary phase in chromatographic separation and solid phase extraction and their use in industrial and environmental monitoring. Prof. Kamel has published over 127 research articles in well reputed high impact factor international journals with h-index of 27. He is also author of several book chapters. He serves as guest editor, member, referee, and reviewer for many international renowned scientific journals. Â He has supervised 17 PhD students and over 43 MSc degree students. He has successfully completed several research projects as Principal Investigator.
