DEAN’S MESSAGE
The College of Science is dedicated to providing students with knowledge, intellectual and twenty-first century skills, and to preparing them for future careers, graduate and professional studies and to becoming active and contributing members of society.
The goals of the College of Science are to delivering high-quality education, developing academic programs in the College, promoting scientific research, enhancing academic and administrative capacities, developing financial resources and promoting value-added consultancy. These goals are mapped to the University Strategic plan 2023-2026.
The College of Science recognizes that science today is both a global and multidisciplinary endeavor. Therefore, it strives to provide educational and research opportunities across departments in cutting-edge fields.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE
The College of Science was established in yaer1978 by the Emiri Decree No. 11 issued by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Emir of the State of Bahrain at the time, and it was part of the College of Science, Arts and Education.
The College of Science is considered one of the important colleges that attracts an increasing number of students every year, as the number of students enrolled in the college for the year 2024 reached 2600 students in various academic programs, and postgraduate students represent 5% of the college’s enrolled students.
The College of Science consists of four departments, and in 2023, the College of Science included 73 academic faculty members and 37 administrative members who work on a full-time basis, in addition to a number of academic collaborators who work in the college on a part-time basis, all of whom work to achieve the vision and mission of the University of Bahrain.
The College of Science currently offers 13 academic programs, including 6 undergraduate B.Sc. programs, 6 post graduate programs (M.Sc. and PhD), in addition to the Associated Diploma in Science program which is an (Exit) program that was introduced for struggling students and those wishing to exit the B.Sc. programs.
The curricula of these programs have been developed in line with similar programs offering at regional and international universities. The undergraduate and postgraduate programs have been reviewed by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) and other international accreditation bodies.
