Dr. Muhammad Nauman Zahid is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Bahrain. He has been with the university since November 2019 and has contributed to teaching and research in molecular and cellular biology. Dr. Zahid holds a PhD from the University of Strasbourg, France, where he specialized in molecular and cellular biology.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Zahid completed two postdoctoral fellowships: one at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, and another at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. His academic journey began with an M.Phil in Parasitology and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore.
Dr. Zahid's research interests encompass various topics, including viral pathogenesis, vaccine development, and host-pathogen interaction. He has published extensively, with numerous articles in reputable journals, and his work has garnered recognition nationally and internationally.
His academic achievements are complemented by a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in the UK.
